Lionel Messi' Inter Miami Thrashes Orlando City In A 5-goal Thriller Match

In Inter Miami on Saturday clashed against Orlando City, a quick opening goal from Luis Suarez 4 minutes into the game and another stunner from the former Catalan in the 11th minute gave Inter Miami a well-deserved 2-0 lead,

Robert Taylor scored a goal at the 29th minute making the goal tally 3-0.

Football's greatest player Leo Messi showed his class as always and scored two goals to crush Orlando's hope of equalizing, just within five minutes into the second half, Messi scored twice.

At Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Inter Miami cruised to a 5-goal thrilling victory over rivals Orlando City,

Inter Miami continues to lead the league table with 7 points, playing 3 games - 2 wins and a draw.

Luis Suarez showed his world-class level by playing hard throughout the game and also being clinical in the front of the goal making good use of chances.

In a post-game interview, Messi said,

“We are good, we are enjoying, we are growing,”

"Today was an important game to win to continue on that path of growth, and the truth is that this has to make us very strong for everything that is to come."

Messi's first goal of the game was funny and left fans in the stadium including himself laughing,

He chest-bumped a rebound and tried to score a chip shot, standing in front of an empty net while Orlando City’s Rodrigo Schlegel tried to pull him away. Messi laughed as the ball went into the net in the 57th minute.

Shortly after a few minutes, the former Barcelona captain scored a very beautiful goal as he received a pass across from Suarez and used his head to the ball down to the lower, left corner of the net in the 62nd minute.

Suarez was substituted in the 67th minute alongside Julian Gressel who assisted two goals.

“It’s so difficult to start again because I changed my form, and how I play," Suárez said concerning Messi and the first two goals of his Inter Miami career. "And I think he (Messi) knows everything about myself."

Gressel was in awe of his teammates,

"Those guys aren’t here to put their feet up. And I think you’ve seen that from the last few weeks," Gressel said of Messi and Suárez. “They’ve been great. They want to win. And they’re trying to do everything for the team to win.”
