In a move that further cements their post-royal career in the entertainment industry, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry are set to launch two non-fiction series with Netflix, expanding their creative portfolio and bringing their passions to a global audience.

The first series, which is currently untitled, will be a celebration of the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship.

This project is a personal one for The Duchess, who has long expressed her love for these activities.

The series will be produced by Sony Pictures Television’s The Intellectual Property Corporation, known for their work on Hulu’s The D’Amelio Show and A&E’s Leah Remini: Scientology & the Aftermath. With Leah Hariton, from Selena + Chef, as showrunner and Michael Steed, director of episodes from My Next Guest Needs No Introduction and Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, at the helm, the series promises to be both visually stunning and deeply personal.

Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, shared her enthusiasm for the project, stating, “This series is an extension of my passion for creating connections through the joy of food and the shared experience of a beautiful garden.”

Her recent business venture, American Riviera Orchard, aligns with the themes of the series, suggesting a synergy between her personal and professional endeavors.

The second series dives into the world of professional polo, a sport close to Prince Harry’s heart. Filmed primarily at the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida, at The USPA National Polo Center, the series aims to reveal the grit and passion behind the glamorous facade of the sport.

Produced by Boardwalk Pictures, the team behind Netflix’s Chef’s Table and Sex, Love & Goop, the series will offer an unprecedented look at what it takes to compete at the highest level of polo.

Prince Harry, reflecting on the series, remarked, “Polo is not just a sport, it’s a culture, a way of life. I’m excited to bring the stories of dedication, tradition, and sportsmanship to a wider audience.”

Both series are part of the multi-year overall deal that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed with Netflix in 2020 through their production company, Archewell Productions. These projects follow the success of their previous Netflix endeavors, including the Harry & Meghan docuseries and Heart of Invictus documentary series.

Netflix content chief Bela Bajaria expressed excitement about the upcoming projects, hinting at a “bunch” of developments in the pipeline, including a movie and a scripted series. While details remain under wraps, the anticipation is high for what the Duke and Duchess will produce next.
